Container Stock Planting Instructions
Container Stock Planting:
1. Slice or score into the root ball 3” deep on 4 sides.
2. Prepare the hole 2 times the width and to the depth of the root ball. Check hole size with container item to be planted, before removing container.
3. Remove plant from container as illustrated and gently place in hole.
4. Back fill to top of root ball with recommended soil. In poor soil areas, it is necessary to pulverize soil and add organic matter.
5. When the hole is backfilled halfway, water by pushing a hose into the loose soil mix. Allow the water to fully saturate the backfill.
6. After the water has settled the backfill, finish backfilling the hole to ground level and water the new backfill as before.
7. When the backfill is fully watered in and the soil is settled, set your hose on top of the original root ball and water with a very slow stream of water.
